CC2533F32RHAT

The CC2533F32RHAT is a RF Transceiver ICs which is designed for IEEE 802.15.4 compliant systems. It is a low power, cost effective and highly integrated 2.4 GHz transceiver and has a radio performance that rivals transceivers from higher end market segments. It is compliant with the ETSI EN 300-328 v1.8.1. The CC2533F32RHAT is also one of the few transceivers on the market that allows the implementation of both FSK/GFSK modulations at an affordable price.

The CC2533F32RHAT is applications are mainly in the Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs). It can provide connectivity between thousands of battery-powered nodes using star, cluster tree, point-to-point and mesh topologies. The CC2533F32RHAT is capable of supporting multiple protocols, ranging from proprietary protocols to major IEEE 802.15.4-based standards, including ZigBee, 6LoWPAN, and Thread.

The CC2533F32RHAT operating voltage is 1.9-3.6V and its size is just 6.4x6.4mm. The integrated high linearity power amplifier and low current voltage regulator (for RF and supply power) both contribute to the low current consumption of the CC2533F32RHAT. The peak current consumption by the RF and the voltage regulator varies between 25mA (transmit peak frequency) and 10mA (receive peak frequency).

The CC2533F32RHAT working principle is based upon direct conversion receiver architecture. It has the built-in transceiver which takes baseband data in and the intermediate frequency signal is generated by mixing it with a reference clock, then the baseband demodulator converts it back to baseband signal. This signal is then further processed by analog and digital sections of the chip.

The CC2533F32RHAT transceiver offers a RX sensitivity of -93dBm and provides a programming interface with mobile nodes, which eliminates the need for manual configuration. It also offers a robust selection of protection features, such as adaptive frequency hopping, interference detection and avoidance, CRC-16 checking, power saving modes, frame filtering, scrambling, and memory mapping. It also has a wide range of debugging and test support functions, such as live RF monitoring and real-time spectrum analyzer.
