The Texas Instrument’s CC2538EMK is a comprehensive, low-cost development platform designed for the sub-1 GHz RF frequency range, enabling applications such as wireless switch and sensor devices, asset sensing and tracking, and security access control systems. The CC2538EMK is the first of its kind RF evaluation and development kit to cover the complete system from concept to calibration and design, making it the perfect choice for engineers and researchers who need to evaluate, develop and prototype RF applications. The CC2538EMK includes an integrated RF module, as well as all of the necessary software tools to quickly and easily prototype, test and develop RF designs.
The CC2538EMK is an integrated system-on-module that is easy to use and provides a low-cost way to develop solutions using TI\'s CC2538 802.15.4 radio. The CC2538EMK allows users to evaluate and develop applications based on TI\'s radio cores, using the easy to use menu-driven software. The CC2538EMK also gives the user access to the powerful and efficient ARM Cortex M3 processor, making it a powerful platform for developing applications with integrated RF hardware.
The CC2538EMK contains an integrated CC2538 MCU operating at up to 48 MHz, two low-power sub-GHz radios, an on-board low-jitter clock oscillator, and an integrated radio chip for 802.15.4 radios. It also provides a large Flash memory array for software code storage, all in a single, compact package. The CC2538EMK can direct data to two integrated sub-GHz radios, connected to an external antenna.
The integrated radio chips are optimized for use in a wide variety of different applications. The integrated radio chips offer excellent performance and provide the basic functionality needed for the radio protocols utilized in the sub-GHz radio frequencies.
