The CC2543RHBR is a transceiver IC from the CC25xx family of Texas Instruments. Working Principle

The CC2543RHBR is a single-chip transceiver which is built on a BiCMOS process that supports a range of RF technologies, including Zigbee/Thread and BT/802.15.4. It contains an integrated low-noise amplifier (LNA), an in-phase and quadrature -phase (IQ) modulator, a low-noise programmable gain amplifier, and a direct conversion receiver (DCR).

The main benefit of using a single transceiver IC is that it reduces the power consumed by the system and simplifies the design process. For example, the CC2543RHBR receiver requires as little as 2.5 mA in active mode, and its transmitter can achieve a rate of up to 800 kbps. The CC2543RHBR also supports a variety of modulation types including GMSK, BPSK, QPSK, and OQPSK. It is also capable of operating in both the 2.4 GHz and Sub-1 GHz bands.

The CC2543RHBR also contains an integrated Frequency Error Compensation (FEC) block.
