1. Describe

The CC3120RNMARGKR device is part of the SimpleLink™ microcontroller (MCU) platform, which consists of Wi-Fi®, Bluetooth® low energy, sub-1GHz, and host MCUs. They share a common, easy-to-use development environment with a single-core software development kit (SDK) and a rich toolset. A one-time integration of the SimpleLink™ platform enables you to add any combination of devices from your portfolio to your design, enabling 100% code reuse as your design requirements change. Connect any microcontroller (MCU) to the Internet of Things (IoT) cloud from Texas Instruments™ using the CC3120R device. The Wi-Fi Alliance® certified CC3120R device is the second generation of the SimpleLink™ Wi-Fi® family, which greatly simplifies the implementation of low-power internet connections. The CC3120R implements all Wi-Fi and Internet protocols in ROM through a dedicated on-chip Arm® network processor, significantly offloading the host MCU and simplifying system integration. The CC3120R Wi-Fi® Internet-on-a Chip™ device contains a dedicated Arm® MCU that offloads most network activity from the host MCU. The subsystem includes 802.11b/g/n radio, baseband and MAC, and features a strong encryption engine for fast, secure Internet connections with 256-bit encryption. CC3120R The device supports Station, AP and Wi-Fi Direct modes. The device also supports WPA2™ Personal and Enterprise Security and WPA3™ Personal and Enterprise. The device includes embedded TCP/IP and TLS/SSL stacks, HTTP server and multiple Internet protocols. The CC3120R device supports multiple Wi-Fi configuration methods, including HTTP-based AP mode, SmartConfig™ technology, and WPS2.0.
