<p>The CC3120RNMARGKT is an RF transceiver IC designed for technology development and vertical integration within the consumer and industrial markets. This device integrates a single-chip radio transmitter and receiver along with a single transceiver module, all in a single package that provides industry-leading performance in small form factors. In addition to enhanced performance, the CC3120RNMARGKT includes many features designed to simplify the complexity of designing and deploying solutions for the emerging Internet of Things (IoT) and in-home technology markets; including the efficient integration of Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Zigbee, Sub-GHz and other wireless protocols.</p><p>The CC3120RNMARGKT is designed for use in the global consumer and industrial markets, supporting multiple industry standards and protocols. This device is capable of transmitting and receiving data using both frequency-hopping spread spectrum (FHSS) and direct-sequence spread spectrum (DSSS) methodologies. In addition, the CC3120RNMARGKT supports a variety of host interfaces via its integrated UART, I2C, SPI and GPIO ports.</p><p>The CC3120RNMARGKT device utilizes its integrated radio transceiver to convert RF signals to electrical current. The current is then passed through analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog converters, which convert the current into digital data. This data is then processed by the integrated transceiver module, which uses spread-spectrum technology to reduce interference and provide enhanced data reliability. The transceiver module then encodes the data with an appropriate scheme, such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Zigbee, Sub-GHz, or other wireless protocols.</p><p>After encoding the data, the CC3120RNMARGKT then transmits the signal using the integrated radio transceiver. The transmission is accomplished by modulating the current of the antenna so that the signal is transmitted in a predetermined frequency band. After the signal is transmitted, it is received by another CC3120RNMARGKT device. This device then decodes the signal using the appropriate scheme, and passes the data to the host via the integrated UART, I2C, SPI or GPIO ports.</p><p>The CC3120RNMARGKT is ideally suited for applications in the consumer and industrial markets, including home entertainment, home security, primary and secondary network infrastructure, lighting and energy management, appliance control, asset tracking, asset monitoring, industrial control, medical equipment and mobile computing.
