The CD4047BMG4 operates as a flip-flop multivibrator with two complementary outputs. It consists of two flip-flops, one master and one slave, with both stages coupled together. The master stage is triggered by the pins labeled A1 and B1 and the slave stage is triggered by pins labeled A2 and B2. When A2 is low, the slave trigger pulse is generated and the output at pin 7 (Q) is low. When B2 is high, the slave trigger pulse is generated and the output at pin 7 (Q) is highWhen the master trigger A1 and B1 pins are both low, then the output at pin 6 (Qbar) is high and the output at pin 7 (Q) is low. When the master trigger A1 and B1 pins are high, the output at pin 6 (Qbar) is low and the output at pin 7 (Q) is high. This flip-flop action can be used to create a frequency oscillator, astable or monostable or a voltage-controlled oscillator. The oscillator circuit consists of a voltage divider network and capacitor, which sets the frequency and duty cycle. The capacitor is discharged via the B1 Trigger pin, charging via the C pin and allowed to settle via the C-ES pin. This allows the circuit to control its own feedback loop, providing adjustment of both frequency and duty cycle.Conclusion
