The CD4063BPWRE4 is a Quad Bilateral Switch designed to provide multi-channel signal selection and data routing and switching capabilities necessary to implement complex logic operations. The device utilizes two complementary Logic enable inputs and two complementary Output Enable inputs to enable the user to control multiple channels in a single device.
The CD4063BPWRE4 also features wide power supply ranges of 2V to 15V, making it suitable for digital and analog applications. Additionally, the device features Schmitt triggers for symmetrical, low noise, and digital input thresholds, which ensure logic-level low noise output signals regardless of the state of the input signal. The low on-resistance, high switching speed, and low total harmonic distortion ensure that all outputs remain consistent and stable regardless of input conditions.
The CD4063BPWRE4 works with two different types of comparators. The first type of comparator is called a “comparator input”, which typically consists of two input pins, labeled A and B. When the voltage at the A pin is higher than the voltage at the B pin, the output of the comparator will be logic HIGH. Conversely, when the voltage at the A pin is lower than the voltage at the B pin, the output of the comparator will be logic LOW. The second type of comparator is called a “Schmitt trigger input”, which typically consists of two input pins, labeled C and D. The user connects the two pins to a positive and negative voltage reference, respectively, and adjusts the threshold level by adjusting the potentiometer. The Schmitt trigger comparator will allow the user to set a specific voltage threshold level. If the voltage at the C pin is higher than the threshold level, the output of the comparator will be logic HIGH. Conversely, if the voltage at the D pin is lower than the threshold level, the output of the comparator will be logic LOW.
The versatile nature of the CD4063BPWRE4 enables it to be used in a variety of logic operations, ranging from simple digital logic operations to more complex logic data processing and control operations.
