CD74HC4514E is a CMOS device consisting of two 4-channel, analog multiplexers/demultiplexers, a 4-channel, bcd-decoder and a 4-bit addressable latch. The device is configurable to receive, select and process 4-bit address latched signals. The 4-channel multiplexers are constructed with signals that can be switched between two logic states (“high” and “low”), while the 4-channel BCD decoder is constructed with inputs that can receive binary coded decimal (BCD) signals and will output a logic “1” when a BCD value is decoded. The 4-bit addressable latch is provided on the chip to store 4-bit digital values such as 4 single addresses or a 2-bit segment and a 2-bit segment repeat.
The CD74HC4514E is designed to receive and process input signals from various digital systems.
