CDB4/6

CDB4/6 (Fletcher-class Destroyer) is an advanced surface warship of the United States Navy. It is the U.S. Navy’s first class of surface warship equipped with anti-aircraft missile launchers, torpedoes, depth charges, and other advanced weaponry. CDB4/6 has a wide range of application fields, mainly used for anti-aircraft warfare, anti-submarine warfare, irregular warfare, homeland defense, and marine surveillance. It can be used to patrol and guard exclusive economic zones, combat piracy, escort high-value assets such as aircraft carriers and amphibious vessels, and participate in joint operations with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). In terms of working principle, CDB4/6 is powered by three sets of diesel engines. It uses vertical launch system (VLS) and Mark 41 VLS as its weapon launch platform. It also uses towed array and variable depth sonar, MK 54 Torpedo launchers, Mark 45 gun, RIM-116 Rolling Airframe Missile (RAM), Harpoon Missiles, and other sea and air defense systems to complete a wide range of naval operations. The advanced systems onboard CDB4/6 enable it to quickly detect and intercept incoming targets, and launch response weapons to deal with hostile targets. Its long-range detection capabilities also enable it to detect area attacks from enemy submarines, aircrafts, and cruise missiles. It also has the ability to launch countermeasures to protect itself against attacks from the above-mentioned weapons. In addition, CDB4/6 is also equipped with electronic warfare management systems to facilitate electronic support measures and communications interception. It can also use its electronic countermeasures to disrupt the guidance system of incoming missiles. CDB4/6 is also equipped with powerful radar systems and navigation suites to help it conduct reconnaissance and carry out search and rescue missions. It can also carry out airborne mission and search and rescue operations to protect ships, aircraft, sailors, and other personnel in the vicinity.
