The width of this depletion region depends on the level of the applied voltage, and when the reverse bias voltage reaches a certain level the electric field at the junction becomes so strong that it causes the electrons and holes to `breakdown\' and cross the junction. This phenomenon is known as Zener Breakdown Voltage. The CDLL5244B has a Zener breakdown voltage of 5.2 volts.
The operating temperature range specified for the CDLL5244B is -65 to +150 degrees Celsius.
