Working Principle of CDLL5284

The reverse breakdown voltage of the device is adjusted by controlling the voltage that is applied to the two anode terminals.

When the voltage applied to the two anode terminals reaches the breakdown voltage of the device, current begins to flow through the device, limiting the voltage across the cathode and anode terminals to the pre-determined breakdown voltage of the device. This breakdown voltage can be precisely measured, as it has a high breakdown voltage accuracy of +-5 percent. The current will keep flowing through the device until the voltage across the anode terminals is lowered again to below the breakdown voltage.
