Application Field
CGRMT4001-HF is specifically designed for use in high frequency power supply applications, such as resonant DC-DC converters and half-bridge topologies. It is also ideal for rectifying AC in switchmode power supplies and DC-DC converters, as well as in solar inverters.
Due to its very low Ron, the CGRMT4001-HF is also suitable for use in switching applications, such as in solid state relays and diode bridges. The low Ron ensures that when the diode is in the “on” state it dissipates very little power, resulting in higher efficiency and lower component temperatures.
Working Principle
The CGRMT4001-HF is a single diode rectifier, which works by allowing current to flow in one direction and blocking current from traveling in the opposite direction. The diode is constructed of two different materials, one of which has a high concentration of electrons and the other a low concentration. This difference in material creates a “barrier” that only allows current to flow in one direction, resulting in rectification.
The CGRMT4001-HF utilizes a special design that is optimized for high-frequency switching applications.
