Working Principle

The working principle of CHL8328-24CRT is based on VFP control structure, which has two level of voltage feedbacks. In the primary Vgs loop, the output voltage of the regulator is regulated by controlling the gate voltage of the power MOSFET. The secondary Vgs loop is the error amplifier, which works as a reference, regulates the primary Vgs loop to achieve stability and fast transient response.The two synchronous MOSFETs, Q1 and Q2, regulate the output voltage. The gate voltage of the Q2 is controlled by the primary Vgs loop, while Q1’s gate voltage is regulated by the error amplifier. Both Q1 and Q2 are very important components in the voltage regulator’s working. The over-voltage, under-voltage, over-temperature and short-circuit protection are designed to protect the device if the components exceed their operating temperature range.
