Current Junction Recombination Wetting-based Interconnects Work (CJRWIW) are modules created by incorporating junction recombination wetting (JRW) theory while synthesizing wetting based interconnects. In terms of information and communication technology, the module has been developed so as to meet the ever-increasing demand for higher bandwidths, better signal integrity, lower power consumption, and greater reliability.

In such a system, each of the signal lines is connected to the transistor through a very thin metal line. As the transistor is switched on, a potential difference is created across the conductor, which in turn induces wetting of the junction. Once this happens, the current flow processes towards the other side, and therefore a signal is produced across the connection. This process continues until the transistor switches off, and the substrate remains in the wetting state.
Apart from the aforementioned applications, CJRWIW can also be used in magnetic recording systems such as tape drives and hard drives. Magnetic recording relies on the generation of heat from the electric current and thus the reading of data on the tape. By incorporating CJRWIs, the electric current is forced along the surface of the substrate and the heat is generated accordingly. The result is a more reliable and efficient data-reading procedure.
CJRWIW are being developed for a range of applications due to their advantageous features such as higher bandwidth, lower power consumption, and better signal integrity.
