With the DAL, for example, the administrator can determine the encryption settings. With the NL, the administrator can dictate which data packets should be allowed to pass through which nodes.
In addition, the NL has features that allow network administrators to control the number of routes that are allowed in a system. This helps to avoid redundant paths and thus reduces congestion. The NL also manages the use of virtual switching and VLANs to further improve the reliability of the system.
In summary, CMDB4/4/BL application field and working principle makes it possible for network administrators to efficiently manage traffic flow and prevent wasteful transmission.
