Configurable power supply modules (CMEs) are used in a variety of applications, from industrial to consumer and audio/video applications. CMEs provide a high efficiency and low voltage operation in an easy to use package. They are widely used in the medical, automotive, IoT, and communication industries. Working Principle of AC DC Configurable Power Supply Modules
The working principle of configurable power supply modules is based on the principle of energy conversion. These modules use inductors and capacitors as the main components to convert the AC signal into a DC signal.The AC signal is usually converted by an inductor into a voltage pulsed with a frequency of 50 Hz or 60 Hz, depending on the voltage of the input AC signal or the type of module used.The voltage pulses obtained from the ACToDC unit are then converted to a DC signal by putting the voltage pulses through a rectifier bridge. The DC signal obtained is then regulated using a voltage regulator to provide a constant voltage output.Configurable power supplies can be used to provide a constant voltage output, a variable voltage output, or a combination of both. The output voltage can be adjusted using the control knob, allowing for precise control of the output voltage.In addition to generating an output voltage, these modules can also be used to provide current limiting, over-voltage and reverse-current protection, as well as over-current protection.
