Common Mode Chokes (CMCs) are specialized electronic components used to reduce common mode noise in power, signal, and data lines. These components are primarily used in power supply noise filtering, electromechanical noise filtering, and signal and data line noise suppression circuits. The CMS1-4-R series of CMCs is an advanced series of components designed to cope with extreme power, noise, and frequency applications.

The CMS1-4-R series of CMCs was designed specifically to resist high frequency noise, as well as high voltage spikes. The components are made of high-grade magnetic cores, ceramic shields, ferrite shields, and thermally stable insulation materials. This combination of materials ensures greater durability and reliability in the presence of extreme conditions. Additionally, the components are tested to be compatible with Automotive Electronic Control Units (ECUs), LED lighting circuits, Electric Charging Systems (EVs) and many other industrial applications.

The working principle of the CMS1-4-R CMCs lies in their ability to convert electrical energy into magnetic energy. The components house a coil, surrounded by an electromagnetic core, which is then wrapped in a layer of insulation material to create the CMC. When an alternating current is applied, the coil creates a magnetic field. This field acts as a barrier which reduces the flow of unwanted common mode noise in the current.
