The CN646 is a single rectifier diode designed to allow a current to flow in only one direction. A full-wave bridge rectifier employs four CN646 diodes connected in the form of a bridge in order to convert AC to DC efficiently. The half-wave bridge rectifier employs only two diodes in order to convert AC to DC, although with higher losses.The operating temperature of the CN646 rectifier diode ranges from -40°C to 125°C.
