The CR4620-150 monitor functions as a current/voltage transducer that is specifically designed to measure the magnitude and direction of current and voltage signals. It combines the functionality of both a current sensor and a voltage sensor to detect electrical irregularities and make precise readings. It is composed of two impedance sensing coils, a voltage-sensing Hot Junction, a current-sensing Cold Junction, and a Hall Effect device. This voltage signal is then amplified and detected by the Hall Effect device of the monitor. When the voltage signal is detected, the monitor enables the current/voltage transducer to detect and monitor abnormal current and voltage signals. Additionally, the monitor can also be used to detect and protect against hazardous currents and voltages.
In order to measure current signals, the CR4620-150 monitor can be equipped with an external current-sensing coil. The external current-sensing coil acts as a transducer and is used to convert the monitored current signals into a voltage signal.
