Working Principle

The CS8151YDPS7 is designed using an internal P-channel MOSFET in series with an N-channel MOSFET. A part of this current also passes through the N-channel MOSFET, and acts as the feedback signal to the error amplifier. The voltage at the N-channel MOSFET is higher than the voltage across the load, which is regulated by the error amplifier. This regulation achieves the desired output voltage.
