Clocking flip-flops are a type of logic circuit that is used to store an input bit, or a sequence of bits, for a given duration of time. CY 74FCT16374ATPVCT is a dual differentially clocked D-type flip-flop device which consists of two independent flip-flops. It is widely used in a variety of digital circuits.The CY 74FCT16374ATPVCT flip-flop has two inputs, a "clock" (CLK) and a "data" (D), and one output, a "Q" output. The CLK and D inputs serve as input signals to the device. The CLK input is used to provide a clock signal to the device. When this signal transitions from low to high, the "Q" output is set to the same value of the input (D) signal. The CLK signal then returns to a low state and the "Q" output is then held at this value.When the CLK is applied, the output voltage of the first stage (CLKIN) will be equal to the input voltage of the second stage (DIN). When the second stage (DIN) voltage is greater than the first stage (CLKIN) voltage, the output of the first stage (Q) will be set to a high state. Likewise when the second stage (DIN) voltage is less than the first stage (CLKIN) voltage, the output of the first stage (Q) will be set to a low state. The data output is the state which the flip-flop is set to at the moment the clock input is triggered and the output of the flip-flop is changed depending on the values of the inputs. By using the CY 74FCT16374ATPVCT flip-flops, a circuit can be designed to store digital data values and process them as needed. This makes the device useful in a variety of circuits, as it can store data values even when power is applied, or when the clock input is not active..
