When the device is enabled, the output buffer drives the input data onto the device\'s output line. When disabled, the output buffer is placed in a tristate condition and supplies sufficient pull-up voltage so that the output line does not float or become unstable. This feature is extremely useful in applications that require diagnostic testing and isolation of parts.The device also features a 3-state output CONTROL (CEZ) input. When CEZ is high, the device accelerates data transmission by buffering the data until the rising edge of the CEX signal. When CEZ is low, the device is placed in a tristate condition so that the output or receiver pin will not be affected by the transient noise on the control line.Additionally, the CY74FCT240TQCT contains an output latch.
