CY74FCT2543A is a low power quarter clock driver (TCK) and a 4-bit LVTTL/LVCMOS bidirectional transceiver architecture developed by Cypress Semiconductor, operating at 3.3V and a maximum speed of 2.5V. It is a logical device that can be used in various applications such as data bus, memory enable, and address multiplexing.The CY74FCT2543A is designed to provide a small, low power, and low cost solution for system management as well as for communications, networking and multimedia applications. The device has a low power shutdown mode, and its application can be extended by the use of internal registers to select the desired operating mode and enable functions.The CY74FCT2543A consists of a receiver, a driver, and two buffers. The main features of this circuit are the low power operation and its capability to switch between LVTTL/LVCMOS input/output levels. Each bit of the bidirectional transceiver is used to convert an LVTTL/LVCMOS level to the opposite standard.The driver pins feature a three-state input (select) pin and an output enable (OE) pin. When set to a high state, the bit drivers are enabled, allowing data to flow from the inputs to the outputs.In addition, the clock driver has an input (TCK) pin for controlling the output clock rate. This pin is used to generate a square wave at the desired frequency. The square wave is a combination of logic levels which are used to control the output clock rate.The CY74FCT2543A device is typically used in systems requiring a low-power, low-cost interface between a data bus and other devices. It can be used as a memory enable, an address multiplexer, and a synchronous data flow device.
