Working Principle

The DAC8426FS oversamples the digital input signal, and generates an analog output current proportional to the digital input. The two-step conversion process includes an internal 8-bit DAC and a low-noise output amplifier.The high speed conversion process begins when the input data is loaded into the DAC’s latch, and then clocked into the DAC. After conversion, the LSB of the output data is used to indicate when a conversion is busy or complete.The amplified output current is then either sourced or sunk to the output pins. The DAC8426FS can replace the DAC of a similar voltage output and has the ability to resolve 16 million steps with a full-scale output range of 0V to +3.3V.
