Reed relays are one of the widely used electronic switches that are designed to be used for higher range of applications compared to other types of relays. DBR7121F is one such reed relay that uses a flexible metal reed contactor as an input component and is designed to be used in printed circuit board (PCB) applications. It is specifically designed for switching/controlling of low power signals with maximum current and voltage ratings.

The DBR7121F reed relay has a single-pole double-throw (SPDT) contact configuration that allows it to be widely used for applications such as switching of circuit inputs, relay signal paths, logic circuits, switch matrices, and other interfaces. It has a coil resistance range of 100-300Ω and coil operating current of 25mA. The contact material used in the reed relays is usually made of precious metals like silver, gold, copper and phosphor bronze. The DBR7121F reed relays work on a basic operation principle. When the coil voltage is applied, the contact points inside the reed relay are actuated. When the voltage is disconnected, the contact points move in the opposite direction and then the contacts open, thus breaking the circuit and prevent any further current from flowing.
