DC0232A-D are photoswitch SOP8 packaged type non-inverting CMOS logic power voltage detectors. A unique reference voltage is created using an on-chip bandgap voltage reference circuit, which is completely separated from the output voltage that is detected. This amplifier-type power voltage detector can be widely used in many occasions, such as fault detection of the power supply of microcomputer, protection on a circuit board, low voltage reset circuitry, over voltage protection and warning signal of the voltage level.
Application Field
DC0232A-D are commonly used in commercial products, and also have many applications in industrial control and automotive. It can be used as an over power protection for computers and intelligent systems, so that an overload can be detected and a warning signal is produced to keep the system from malfunctioning. DC0232A-D are also widely used as over voltage or under voltage protection in automotive. Additionally, DC0232A-D can provide circuit protection and storage protection to extend the life of industrial field.
Working Principle
The three pins of DC0232A-D are VDD ,GND and OUT. This series of photoswitch SOP8 packaged type non-inverting CMOS logic power voltage detectors use a highly reliable and accurate on-chip bandgap voltage reference circuit, which is completely separated from the output voltage that is being detected. The detection voltage is determined by the reference voltage and a setting resistor connected to VDD. When the voltage of VDD exceeds the detection voltage, the output will turn OFF, otherwise the output will turn ON.
The operating temperature of the DC0232A-D is between -40 degree Celsius and 85 degree Celsius, and the rated output voltage is 3.8~5.5V. It is equipped with built-in ESD protection circuits and Noise-Free reset circuitry, and its power supply current is 0.3mA (TYP)@5.0V, which is conducive to low power loss. The output mode is Open Drain N-channel FET, and the maximum source/sink current is 10mA.
