DC1822A is a versatile evaluation board for off-line switching power supplies. It is designed to enable the fast and easy evaluation of several fixed frequency, current mode, off-line power supply controllers. It covers a wide range of conventional architecture, cascade converters and enhanced mode power supply solutions.

This evaluation board employs a low component count, off-line power supply control technique and is suitable for applications like home appliances, telecom equipments, battery-powered systems, consumer electronics, office machines and industrial electronic control applications.

The DC1822A is designed with safety in mind. To minimize risks of electrocution, it is equipped with a dead front design. The operating temperature range allows operation over all normal ambient temperatures.

The DC1822A provides the most accurate and comprehensive evaluation of fixed frequency, current mode power supplies. This includes all aspects of the power supply, from the input EMI filter design to the output EMI filter design.

The evaluation board is equipped with an extensive set of measurement tools to ensure that all aspects of the power supply design are accurately evaluated. These tools include a comprehensive set of DC waveforms, an oscilloscope, a frequency counter, and a multimeter.

The evaluation board employs the latest technology to provide maximum performance in terms of efficiency, noise, and standby mode current. It is able to sample input and output power stages, measure transient load current response and adjust the optimum operating set points.
