DC1989A-B is a two-channel evaluation board for determining the performance specifications of DC/DC and AC/DC printed circuit board (PCB) based switchmode power supplies (SMPS). The board provides the user with an easy to access, pre-loaded hardware platform to evaluate the performance of these low voltage power supplies.

The DC1989A-B board is constructed of four printed circuit layers. The top layer provides two DC output connections, while the bottom layer provides two AC inputs. The layout of the board also incorporates a wide range of components and test points for fine-tuning the output voltage and frequency, and for measuring voltage, current and current ripple.

The key advantage of the DC1989A-B evaluation board is that it is self-contained and provides a ready to use platform for evaluating the performance of DC/DC and AC/DC SMPS.
