DC501A is an evaluation and demonstration board and kit from Texas Instruments. It is designed to allow the easy development of numerous applications in a simple and efficient way, and provides a comprehensive solution for a wide range of electronics projects.

DC501A features a controller-based processor platform that provides a complete system design. It is powered by TI’s Cortex-M3 processor which can operate at a maximum speed of 16MHz. The DC501A board features a variety of on-board peripherals, such as 64Kb BSRAM, EEPROM, three general-purpose timers, two UARTs, 27 I/O ports, and a 10-bit precision A/D converter. The kit also includes an onboard power management system with an on-board 5V power supply for powering the device. The device also includes a 4-pin JTAG connector to connect to external debuggers and development toolchains.
