DC765B Evaluation Board is an off-line DC/DC & AC/DC switch-mode power supply (SMPS) that is designed for the consumer market and other similar applications. It is a medium sized evaluation board, measuring less than 7” x 5” x 3”. It has a built-in linear regulator that sets the output voltage, and includes other features such as over-voltage, over-current protection and thermal management. The DC765B can be used to provide an economical solution to evaluate the performance of AC/DC and DC/DC converters, and also for qualified power applications in computers, monitors, media players, smart phones, tablets, and other handheld devices.

The DC765B Evaluation Board is an integrated SMPS solution that utilizes a combination of high performance switching and linear regulation techniques. It has a two stage topology that includes a voltage mode controlled Switch-Mode PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) regulator and a linear regulator. The PWM regulator consists of a synchronous Boost controller IC, a Power FET and a PWM logic controller. The linear regulator is a high efficiency linear regulator, which is configured to set the output voltage as required.
