The DC851A-E Evaluation Boards are a series of Analog to Digital Converters (ADCs) from Texas Instruments. These evaluation boards are designed to enable users to quickly evaluate the performance of TI\'s ADC families and accelerates the process of product development in the system.The ADC family from TI comprises of a high-speed 16-bit, 4-channel ADC device, which allows users to measure a wide range of frequencies (from DC to 44MHz). These evaluation boards enable customers to get an overview of the system performance and make adjustments accordingly for proper tuning.With the help of the DC851A-E, users can easily configure and evaluate the system performance with respect to sampling time, amplitude, SNR, ADC’s throughput and many other parameters. All the TCP/IP board communication is accomplished by using the supplied software and the services of the TI Ethernet to USB Adapter.The DC851A-E offers a wide range of features including a separate IO pin for each of the four single-ended inputs, configurable clocks for sampling of up to 50MHz, unipolar and bipolar LVDS output, adjustable output amplitude, signal gain and offset settings and configurable FPGA Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI).The board has an on-board temperature sensor and several switches and pushbuttons for user configuration and signal settings. Users can also manage the output amplifier and signal path on chip via the on-board logic.It also consists of a 16-bit Trim DAC, a quad-channel SPI expandable to 8-channel, an SPI flash memory for program storage and a voltage reference circuit. With the help of the on-board logic and external components, each of the four channels of the ADC can easily be isolated.Furthermore, the DC851A-E includes Arduino-based IO development boards, which enable customers to create and test SPI communication to the on-board logic.
