The ADC itself uses differential inputs and differential outputs. This provides an extended dynamic range enabling it to better measure high frequency signals. It works in three operational modes: Real-Time, Ramp Mode, and Zero Difference (Zero-Diff) modes. The Real-Time and Ramp Modes allow for the capture of analog signals with very high resolution and up to a 12-bit effective resolution. The Zero-Diff Mode captures a low frequency signal with a maximum resolution of 7-bits.
