NTC thermistors are temperature sensors that have been developed for applications where a good accuracy over a wide temperature range is essential. The DC95F202ZN is one such example. It is a precision Type 2 NTC thermistor that can measure temperatures from -20 to 50 degrees Celsius with an accuracy of ±0.5 degrees Celsius.

The thermistor is a temperature-sensing device composed of a semiconductor metal oxide material whose resistance changes in proportion to its temperature, making it incredibly sensitive to minor changes in temperature. In operation, the DC95F202ZN thermistor measures the resistance of both the thermistor and the nominal resistor using a charge injection technique. The thermistor\'s resistance is adjusted by injecting a small current into the thermistor\'s terminals and measuring the resulting voltage. This process is repeated with the nominal resistor and the two values are compared. If the difference between the two values is greater than a predetermined threshold, the thermistor\'s resistance is adjusted based on the nominal resistor value. This adjustment is done continuously and ensures that the thermistor remains calibrated for accurate temperature readings over a wide temperature range.

The DC95F202ZN is useful in many fields where reliable and accurate temperature measurements are needed. These include automotive, HVAC, and medical applications.
