DG390ACWE is an 8-channel analog multiplexer/demultiplexer and analog switch integrated circuit manufactured by National Semiconductor. It is designed to offer a compact, cost reduced, and high performance interface between bus control logic stages and analog signal conditioning circuitry. It is also suitable for use in wide range of applications, including audio and video signal integaration and control.

Application Field

Due to its efficient design and high level of integration, the DG390ACWE is ideal for a broad range of applications, such as analog signal switching, signal routing, and video and audio signal integration and control. Working Principle

The DG390ACWE IC is an 8-channel multiplexer/demultiplexer, which has two ports, an input port and an output port. When a logic high is applied to the SELECT pin, the input port is connected to the output port. This connection will remain until the SELECT pin is returned to logic low. The input and output voltage range is up to 16.5 volts, and the current is up to 1.5mA. The OFF isolation characteristic allows for a maximum switching voltage of 500mV and a maximum switching current of 200mA without interfering with the connected signals. The on-resistance of the multiplexer is less than 240Ω. The maximum propagation delay time is 4μs.

The DG390ACWE multiplexer/demultiplexer is also equipped with a enable pin that controls the pass through of the multiplexer/demultiplexer. It allows for the disconnection of input and output ports when needed. The logic high state results in the pass though of the multiplexer/demultiplexer while logic low inhibits the connection between the two ports.
