It is the opposite of a multiplexer, which routes multiple input signals to one output signal.Working PrincipleThe DG401BDY is an integrated IC containing analog switches, multiplexers, and demultiplexers. The device is designed to work with a single supply voltage from +5V to +15V, as well as a wide range of input/output voltage levels, including TTL, LVCMOS, CLCC and others.The DG401BDY has four main analog switches, sixteen multiplexers, and sixteen demultiplexers. The device has an adjustable power-up state, which can be used to select the initial state of the switches, multiplexers, and demultiplexers. The analog switches have an ON resistance of 10 ohms, and a leakage current of 0.3 pA (picoamperes). The device also has two enable pins, which can be used to enable or disable the device.The device has two modes of operation, controlled by the enable pins. When the enable pins are set to logic low, the device is in "Disable Mode", in which the switches, multiplexers and demultiplexers are all disabled.When the enable pins are set to logic high, the device is in "Enable Mode", in which the switches, multiplexers and demultiplexers are all enabled.
