Working Principle

The DG403BDJ-E3 is composed of two PDOS (p-type enhancement mode devices) MOSFETs and two N-channel MOSFETs. To switch it, the gate-source voltage of the first two PDeps (PDOSs) is increased by the gate-source voltage of the N-channel MOSFETs. This causes the connection between the two inputs and the output to be established. This switch requires an external supply voltage for the pull-up resistor.

The switch supplies a low-resistance path for current when it is on and an infinite-resistance path when it is off. The finite on-state resistance of this switch is typically less than 10 Ohms, making it well suited for low-power applications such as audio signal-switching.
