DG407CWI Application Field and Working Principle

The DG407CWI is a digitally controlled, 4-bit single-channel multiplexer/demultiplexer with a maximum switching frequency of 400kHz. It has four control input pins (A0, A1, A2, A3) and three control output pins (Y1,Y2,Y3). The device provides full control of signal flow, prioritizing and interrupting signals in the analog circuitry, using the four control inputs to select the channel for signal transmission. Depending on the state of the four control inputs, one of the eight channels is selected with the four output pins simultaneously.

By applying a logic "1" to a control input and logic "0" to all other control inputs, the associated channel will be enabled. The logic inputs A0 to A3 are TTL/CMOS compatible and require only an externally supplied voltage of 0 to 7V.
