In the analog world, it can be used as an analog multiplexer/demultiplexer or as an analog switch to control the gain of an amplifier, to switch inputs or outputs, to switch bias voltages or to provide isolation between channels. It can also be used to route signals, to control loads and to provide buffering between elements. In digital applications, the DG636EN-T1-E4 can be used as a digital multiplexer/demultiplexer to route digital signals between processes or systems. The multiplexing and demultiplexing capabilities of the DG636EN-T1-E4 make it uniquely suited to applications such as data acquisition, remote control, instrumentation, sensor control and signal multiplexing/demultiplexing.</p> <h3>Working Principle</h3> <p>The DG636EN-T1-E4 is based on an array of analog switches, with input and output ports, each of which can be individually switched or multiplexed. Each switch is controlled by an enable signal that is sourced from an external source, or from an internal demultiplexer when multiplexing is required. The input ports can be configured for single-ended or differential operation, and the output ports can be configured for single-ended or differential operation.
