Working Principle
The DP83846AVHG/NOPB is a single-chip transceiver solution which combines a media access controller (MAC), physical layer device (PHY) and a bus interface unit (BIU). It supports full-duplex operation at up to 1000 Mbps on a single twisted pair cable or multiple pairs of HSSD (high-speed switched digital) cables.
The physical layer device (PHY) of the DP83846AVHG/NOPB transceiver solution performs the encoding and decoding of information on the electrical signals and performs the physical layer operations such as scrambling, descrambling, formatting and Error detection.
