DRV102T working principleThe DRV102T is a self-contained device with a built-in current sink, temperature protection, and clock generator for synchronous start-up. It consists of a main switch, a sensing circuit, a low-to-high voltage monitor and a self-protecting regulator.The DRV102T works by monitoring the voltage applied at its input, comparing it with a pre-set threshold level. If the input voltage is higher than the pre-set threshold level, the sensing circuit will send a signal to the main switch, which then turns on and supplies the load. When the input voltage is lower than the pre-set threshold level, the main switch will turn off and the load will be disconnected from the power supply.The low-to-high voltage monitor will detect any current surges in the system, and if it exceeds a pre-set threshold, the switch will be disabled to prevent over-current damage. Furthermore, the self-protecting regulator further protects the system in case of a sudden over-current or voltage drop.
