The DS1100LZ–500+ has two flip–flops in each stage and each of these have their own configuration of propagation delay. The propagation delay time is used to determine the exact delay time of each of the output signals. At higher frequencies, the delay line become less efficient as the frequency increases. The delay in each stage is also adjustable depending on the user’s requirements. This can be done by changing the clock frequency or the number of stages. The delay line is also designed to be resilient to power supply, temperature and aging and is available in different packages to suit user requirements.Conclusion
