For overvoltage protection, it features a configurable protection threshold, a configurable voltage limit, and programmable current rating. For over-current protection, it features a programmable current limit threshold and configurable latch/clamp type settings.Pre-charged Battery Initialization
The DS1259N also provides a pre-charged battery initialization feature, which is used to reduce charging time when the initial battery voltage is higher than the specified charge voltage. The device automatically discharges the battery to the correct voltage, before initiating charging.Monitoring and Data Logging
The device provides an integrated monitoring solution to track battery parameters such as voltage, current, temperature, and SOC. The data is logged and stored in memory, and can be accessed through an I2C interface.
