Introduction:
DS2502P+T&R is an advanced memory device designed for usage in automotive and industrial applications. It combines the advantages of both EEPROM and SRAM chips and provides an extremely reliable and versatile memory solution. This device features Error Correction Code (ECC) function, which allows the Automatic Error Correction of any data errors encountered during read or write operations.

Working Principle:
DS2502P+T&R uses a set of three buses to communicate with the host controller, namely the Address Bus, Data Bus and Control Bus. The address bus contains the address of the target data/memory location. The data bus is used for data transfer. The control bus is used for transferring control signals, such as synchronizing the clock, chip selection and write enable. When the data needs to be read or written, a suitable control signal is sent out to initiate the sequence.
The Read operation is initiated when the host controller sends out a read request via the control bus. The address of the target memory location is sent out via the address bus. The data stored at the target address is then sent out to the host controller via the data bus. If the read process encounters any data errors, the built in ECC module automatically corrects this error in order to ensure data integrity.
The write operation is initiated when the host controller sends out a write request via the control bus. The address of the target memory location is sent out via the address bus, followed by the data provided by the host controller. The data is then stored at the target memory location if the write process does not detect any errors. If there are any errors detected during the write process, the Error Detection Code (EDC) module will return an appropriate error response.
