The DS25LV02R+T&R is a combination of a non-volatile memory and a simultaneous read/write controller. It is primarily used in applications such as controlling and monitoring microcontroller systems where a low-power, random access memory is required. Data is stored in the segmented memory array, which can be mapped to form a specific memory layout. Each segment can be allocated for a particular purpose, with the capability to configure up to 16 separate RAM banks. Each bank has a dedicated 128 bytes accessible area.</p><p>The read/write controller is used to control the flow of data between the memory array and the host device. It can be configured to support simultaneous read and write operations, providing high speed access to the memory array. It contains its own internal state machine which keeps track of the commands and data, thus minimising the interaction between the host device and the memory array. The read/write controller also includes a watchdog timer which can be used to reset the system if a system error is detected.</p><p>The DS25LV02R+T&R offers a wide range of features that enable it to be used in a range of applications. It supports the JTAG serial programming protocol for secure programming, allowing for a secure download of data. It also supports a range of write and erase algorithms, enabling fast erase, write, and read times.
