The DS90C032TMX high-performance quad CMOS differental line receiver is designed for digital video applications. It has low propagation delay, low power consumption and low jitter. It has a wide range of operating conditions and can work in both single-ended and differential output formats. The DS90C032TMX is ideal for applications such as thunderbolt, high-definition multimedia interface (HDMI) dual-link display port and other digital video standards.

The DS90C032TMX is a single-chip device that consists of four differental line receivers with selectable single- or differential output formats. It has four independent internal channels, each inpdate of signals speed up to 1.62 – 2.7 Gbps with 150 ps propagation delay, 1900 ps output enable setup time, and 2400 ps output enable hold time. The four differential line receivers can be independently configured for data rates up to 1.62 – 2.7 Gbps.

The DS90C032TMX also has a single-ended output format option when the differential output format is not required. This option can be used for signaling to port connections as well as for back-channel signaling when data rate is lower than the specified differential signal rate. For instance, the receiver can be configured for single-ended 50-100 Mbps signal outputs, using an LVDS interface with signal data rate up to 1.5 Gbps, or for 3.2 Gbps signal output using an RVP/RSDS interface.

The DS90C032TMX also features built-in features to optimize signal quality such as narrow and wide bandwidth filters, programmable equalization settings with up to 12 dB of gain and a zero-skew cable equalization that compensates for up to 200 mm of cable length. The DS90C032TMX also monitors input signal and output skew values, providing information to the host system if the signal is outside of the system’s acceptable thresholds.

The DS90C032TMX is an ultra-low power receiver with an operating voltage of 1.5 – 3.5 V and a maximum dissipation of 100 mW. The receiver has an integrated output driver, which is designed to reduce the power consumed and to minimize EMI emissions. An advanced on-chip DC-DC converter provides low power consumption and no additional external components are required. In addition, the receiver has a reduced output swing and an enhanced power supply rejection ratio (PSRR).
