The XS90UB903QSQX/NOPB provides a single-channel serializer and deserializer solution with support for up to 40-bit parallel input and 40-bit parallel output. By extending the link beyond the traditional 5-meter limit beyond the CAN, it can be used in a wide variety of different applications.

The device provides an 8-bit formatter (with optional pad register) to interface with CMOS sensors. Working Principle

The DS90UB903QSQX/NOPB works as follows: its serializer part takes 8-bit parallel input from a CMOS sensor or a pad register, converts it into 16/20/24/32-bit serial output, and sends to the deserializer. The deserializer takes in the serial output and converts it back into 8-bit parallel data. This data is then sent out to the connected processor.
