The output waveform type can usually be changed with an on-board switch or pin.The DSC2010FI2-B0004T is a pin-selectable programmable oscillator with a frequency range of 0.5MHz to 48MHz. It has an output voltage of 3.3V and a power dissipation of just 200 mW. The DSC2010FI2-B0004T is designed for applications that require variety of output frequencies and waveforms such as voltage-controlled oscillators (VCOs), pulse-width modulation (PWM) and pulse-frequency modulation (PFM).The DSC2010FI2-B0004T is composed of two sections: an oscillator section and a selectable frequency section. The oscillator section is based on a CMOS integrated-circuit that contains two Clocked Multiplier Modules (CMM) multiplier units and a phase-locked loop (PLL). The frequency of the output signal is determined by the values of two capacitors inside the CMM modules.The selectable frequency section allows the user to select one of the multiple frequencies with the use of on-board selector pins. The selected frequency is further refined with the use of a two pins voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) that produces a signal with only sub-multiples of the selected frequency to get the exact desired frequency.The DSC2010FI2-B0004T can be used in a variety of application areas that require a precise frequency output. It can be used in clock distribution systems, networking and communication, instrumentation, automotive, industrial control and measurement systems, power electronics, and other applications that require precise timing signals.The DSC2010FI2-B0004T is also excellent for applications that require the selection of more than one frequency.
