Working principle

The DSS2XSMAB01X connector connects two electrical components, usually a cable and a circuit board, so that electrical energy can flow between them. It is a mechanically robust connector which makes contact through the use of multiple contact points.The connector consists of two parts - the male and female, which interlock with each other like a jigsaw puzzle piece. The male component has four contact pins, while the female counterpart has four contact sockets.The two components are clipped together and the connection is held in place by a metal latch or threaded clamp.The contact pins on the male connector are made of resilient metals which have excellent electrical conduction properties. The more basic contact pins are composed of copper alloy, while more advanced contact pins are made of gold or silver. The contact sockets on the female component are made of metal or plastic material. When the male and the female components of the connector are mated together, the contact pins nestle into the contact socket and create a complete electrical connection.
