DV164027 is a highly-integrated board for microcontrollers (MCUS) and digital signal processors (DSPs). It is specifically designed for evaluation purposes, and to aid developers in creating their own MCU or DSP-based products. It features a variety of analog and digital peripherals, in addition to the two main components, and has been designed with low power consumption and flexibility in mind. The board features two 32-bit microcontrollers (MCUs) which are based on ARM Cortex-M4 or ARM Cortex-M3 cores. These microcontrollers come with a variety of integrated peripherals such as 10/100 Mbit/s Ethernet MAC, USB 2.0 Host, USB 2.0 OTG-FS, CAN, UART, PWM, Timer, ADC, SDIO, I2S, I2C and SPI, and up to 192KB of SRAM memory. Additionally, the board also features a 12-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC) which is capable of sampling up to 32 channels in single-ended mode or as many as 16 channels in differential mode. On the digital signal processing (DSP) side, the board is equipped with a digital signal processor (DSP) which incorporates a 32-bit variant of the ARM Cortex-M4 core. The DSP core is equipped with an extended instruction set, and includes a large array of DSP peripherals such as CAN, UART, SDIO, I2C, SPI, SSI, DTW, PWM, timers, accumulator, FIFO and watchdogs. In addition to the large array of digital peripherals, the DSP core is also features two ADCs which enable the user to sample both analog and digital signals simultaneously. The board is a great tool for evaluating both the MCU and the DSP cores as both cores are embedded onto the same board and can be easily integrated with each other.
