DZ23C12-HE3-08

DZ23C12-HE3-08 is a diodes-zener-array specifically designed to be a precision reference or voltage stabilizer. It is an integrated, 8-pin SMT package containing four independent, matching, 10V Zener diode elements. The device is ideal for applications requiring a module of 5V or 3V voltage regulation, with typical accuracy as low as 0.5%.

The working principle of the DZ23C12-HE3-08 is based on using Zener diodes as elements of a voltage reference circuit. Basically, when a voltage is applied to the diode, a reverse leakage current, called the "Zener current" would flow in the diode, creating a voltage drop across the diode. Controlling the voltage across the diode assures the current passing through to remain constant, thereby creating a stable, level voltage reference. The application of precision Zener diodes in the DZ23C12-HE3-08 assembly allows four Zener diodes to be matched and integrated into the same surface mount package while maintaining their individual Zener voltages.
